Hi, my name is Natalia. I am a Registered Dietitian trained in Mindfulness-Based Eating and Living. And I’m here to tell you about how you can stop stress eating and overeating, and binge eating, using a method that is called, Mindfulness-Based Eating and Living Awareness.
So what do I mean by that? When we become aware of the triggers, could be a situation, could be an emotion, could be even a habit that we don’t know that is sabotaging our health and our weight, and how we feel about yourself, it’s really hard to stop that.
So when working with individuals, what I do is sit down and we talk about what are some of those habits and triggers that make us over eat in seafood as the way to soothe in that moment, and that we know, it makes us feel better. But only for a few minutes, right? What are the emotions that come afterwards? Guilt, regret, maybe more overeating. And we end up feeling really bad about ourselves and that leads to more negative emotions and other negative habits.
So how do I help? I help you break free from habits that have you sabotaging your weight loss. And I bring you to a place where you have peace with food, peace with yourself, you know what to eat. And if there’s an event where you would like to actually have something, let’s say a piece of chocolate, a piece of cake, a glass of wine, anything that you know is to be consumed in moderation, you actually enjoy that.
So that a little serving over that or moderate serving is actually enough without having to think about, should I go for a second? And what is it going to do this to my exercise routine and my [0:02:03] [Indiscernible] routine? You actually have peace about making your choice in the way you live.
So, very excited to tell you about this mindfulness-based eating and living awareness. And I will see you there.
