I’m so excited about this BIG WIN this week, that I HAD to share this story with you! Here’s something I’ve learned recently. Remember that horrible bug from high school years, this kissing disease mono? That’s short for infections mononucleousis, and it’s caused by the Epstein Barr virus, or EBV for short.
Once you have EBV it generally hangs out in your system, the same way chicken pox does and then resurfaces later during the WORST POSSIBLE TIME as shingles! That’s because stress depletes your immune system, so it’s when you’re super stressed that shingles will emerge.
The recent BUG (you know I have to say it that way so that my emails will get delivered to your inbox, right?) depressed our immune systems, and many people have experienced a flare of that latent Epstein Barr Virus. This flare has often been mis-diagnosed as long-hauler’s syndrome. It’s really that there’s a different virus that’s emerged to cause the new symptoms.
