The body filters out toxins via the liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, and digestive tract. But when an individual is exposed to too many toxins, eventually, the body cannot eliminate them all. It can clean food preparation surfaces, windows, and mirrors, and carpet stains – it can even clean pesticides off fruits and vegetables and clean your clothes!

For more challenging jobs that require scrubbing, add baking soda (which is also all-natural). If you hate the smell, try adding a few drops of your favorite essential oil. 

2. Replace your plastic containers: In the past, plastic containers were made of harmful chemicals like BPA, which could leach into whatever was stored in them – especially in the Florida heat. While many plastic containers now are manufactured BPA-free, it is still safer to switch to glass containers. Not only do you reduce the chances of toxins in your food, but glass lasts longer and is more durable.

When it comes to drinking water, the same truth applies – stainless steel bottles keep our water as clean as possible and allow us to drink the recommended amount with fewer toxins. It also saves quite a few plastic bottles from hitting the landfills.

3. Get outside more often: Inhaling plenty of fresh air is imperative for our health, but too many spend our days inside. Some people feel that they can get plenty of exercise on a treadmill or exercise bike, but being outside is an essential part of the health equation.

When we exercise, our demand for oxygen increases, resulting in faster, deeper breathing. Exercising inside results in breathing in even more toxins – taking your efforts outdoors allows you to take in more fresh air.

4. Try coconut oil for your skincare: Store-bought skincare products can be loaded with chemicals that are filled with toxins. Natural alternatives such as coconut oil are high in antioxidants such as skin-loving Vitamin E and moisturize the skin better than most chemical options – without toxicity.

5. Make some dietary changes: There are many ways to change your diet to eliminate toxins. Just getting rid of fast food will do wonders for your system. Here are a few other examples of how to make your dinner plate less toxic. Beans are great for your health and can be used in everything from chili to salads and burritos.

Try using dried beans instead of canned ones – fresher beans are more nutritious and won’t pick up toxins from the processing and canning process. When it comes to meat, conventional products are often full of hormones and antibiotics subsequently ingested into our bodies. Organic, grass-fed beef can lessen your exposure.
