Hello. I’m Dr. Denise Baker. I am an allopathic physician or a medical doctor and I am pleased to come to you today to talk about how you take care of your bones.
Are you a buddy to your bones? Those of us who work at Longevity Wellness Clinic are very attentive to things that will actually create a healthier you. So today, we will talk about osteopenia, osteoporosis and things that you can do to improve your better self.
So the risk for this can come from a family history. There are about nine things that we review on a regular basis and we look at history, we look at your past health, we look at your current health and we look at your future risk and that future risk is based on what has happened to you in your lifetime but also what your family history tells might be a risk factor.
We like you to come in with your labs and if you haven’t had labs done recently, we will have you have the appropriate labs done to evaluate the health, the condition of your internal organs, of your health systems, of your minerals, your vitamins, the effectiveness of some of the supplements you may be on and what the actual turnover of your bones are.
Bones are fascinating. They’re really very dynamic. Bones are so dynamic that they will break down every night and build up every night and break down every night and build up every night.
So for you to have optimal healthy bones, for you to be a buddy to your bones, you need to make sure that your internal metabolism is being respectful to your bones and giving you support throughout your life, whatever that may be. But I plan on keeping you healthy until you hit approximately 100. So what have we not done in the past that we should be doing? What are our personal habits that currently could interfere with good healthy bone metabolism and what do we need to look forward to?
We will start first with where you are and then what you need to do differently. We will help you identify any lifestyle factors and we will talk about vitamins, minerals, nutraceuticals, supplements and if need be, we will talk about prescriptive elements.
We will also talk about when is the best way to evaluate your bones ongoing and do you need a special physical therapy regimen to keep your bones strong. Remember, bones are very dynamic. We want you to build up any bones that you have lost, maintain the bone that you have now and then keep your bones healthy until you hit that beautiful ripe old age of 100.
I’m Dr. Denise Baker coming to you from Longevity Wellness Clinic. Please give me a call. I would love to help you with your healthcare.
