Would you believe that you’re not the man that your father was? And he wasn’t the man that his grandfather was. And I’m not just talking about character building over time, the masculine energy, the masculine hormone of testosterone has been steadily decreasing over the past several decades. It’s dropping at about 1% per year. And that means that a gentleman in his 30s today has about two-thirds of the testosterone that his father did, and that his kid is going to have about half the testosterone.
It’s not a good equation. And it’s a logical question to ask, what’s causing this? it’s easy to find the data. And there’s a fantastic book called Countdown, that you can research more on this about. But what’s causing this? So, our usual culprits are, ah, crap diet, terrible lifestyle. You know, we’re all lazy. That would work if it was only humans that this applied to. But in fact, it’s happening across multiple species.
The famous study of alligator penis sizes from Lake Apopka indicates that it’s even happening in the alligator world. It’s not just humans, it’s everywhere. So it’s not just our McDonald’s, it’s affecting the entire species. What could possibly be causing that? If it’s happening to everyone, then that means that it’s something in our environment, and it’s the toxicity that our world is in.
Simply put, we don’t have the clean air and the clean water that previous generations had. Our topsoil has eroded. So, we don’t get the same mineral content in our food. This is why we have to be smart and savvy, and we have to take the right supplements for us, in order to get the nutrients that we need in our diet, because we’re being bombarded with toxins all of the time.
When testosterone rates decrease, ultimately, as a species, we don’t want to have sex. And that means we don’t want to propagate. And that’s a big problem. Because when we wind up with a population that’s decreasing over time, the burden on the younger generation is extraordinary to try to support the older generation.
There’s fewer people working and there’s more money being taking out as taxes. So it isn’t the benefit to the planet that we might necessarily think. It’s actually very hard on a population. And Japan has been going through this in recent years. More personal problems associated with low testosterone are weight gain, brain fog, hair loss, personality changes, and something that I think of as the masculine spirit.
So in Chinese medicine, we have two different types of energy that we think about. We have the yang energy or the yang energy. And it’s the big the bright, we think of it as the sun, we think of it as like the every, a little 4-year-old boy running into the room and going, “Everybody, run around!” That’s pure masculine energy, pure yang energy.
And then we have the feminine energy. This is the quiet, the reflective, the moon, the passive, the substance. So medically, in the body, yang energy is cellular metabolism. It’s mitochondrial production of the ATP. It’s energy. Medically, in the body, yin is the fluid and the substance, the blood, and the quality of the blood.
So what we have to do in order to keep our yang energy, our testosterone balanced is we have to make sure that we have a clear, i.e. detoxified physical state and environment that we get to exist in. And we have strong powerhouses of energy that are working for us, and we have to make sure that we have a good environment, we have the right nutrients. So that’s good food, good water, good quality.
Gentlemen, you can get away with a lot for a while. But ultimately, those health decisions are going to catch up. So, it’s important to know that you have incredible power to be in the driver’s seat of your health, to be the pilot of your future, of your destiny if you knowledgeably pay attention to the data that’s in front of you, and that you’re getting the data that’s most important to you.
So that has to do with bloodwork, that has to do with certain specific tests that we can do to check your adrenal glands, to check your thyroid, to check your parathyroid. It’s all easily done in wholesome, and very importantly, to check your heart.
